Exciting June 2024 Updates and Enhancements to First Class Software

It is June 2024, and this video will share some of the updates and enhancements we’ve made to First Class Software in the past couple of months. Our team’s been busy working on some brand-new features and enhancements to existing features. They’ve done a lot of work over the last couple of months, so there are a number of exciting new things to try out and use.

I’ll cover three brand-new features in this video. You’ll get more details in your inbox over the coming little while, but this will give you an idea of some of the brand new features that are now available for you to use in your account.

1. Instructor Notifications

If you go to Settings > Facility > Instructor Notifications, you will see an option to turn notifications on or off for teachers or instructors. Notifications alert teachers about new bookings for the classes they are teaching. This works well in scenarios where you have a remote workforce or multiple locations, with teachers traveling between them.

For example, if a new customer books a class over the weekend for a session on Wednesday at 4 p.m., the teacher will get a notification immediately. This feature helps keep teachers informed about new bookings. Check it out if you think it can help you; you can find it in your settings menu.

2. Class Changes

The second new feature is called Class Changes. If you go into Add/Edit Class, you can use this feature for any of your existing classes. Select the class you want to modify, click the edit button, and you will see an option called Class Change.

This feature allows you to make specific changes to individual sessions within an ongoing class sequence. For example, if a class runs every Thursday at 4 p.m. from April 22nd to June 30th, you might want to cancel the session on June 6th or change the teacher for the session on June 13th to Deb. This is a powerful way to make small adjustments to an existing class sequence.

3. Language Translation

The last feature I’m going to share is Language Translation. This feature provides flexibility for both your staff and customers, allowing them to set their language preferences. You can set account language preferences, and customers can set their own.

To set a default language for your account, go to Account Settings and look for the Default Language option. For example, setting it to French will make all online booking links for your account display information in French. This feature ensures that your customers can interact with the system in their preferred language, and the system will remember these settings for future interactions.

These are just three of the new features we’ve recently rolled out in First Class Software. There are also numerous other enhancements, tweaks, and improvements.
